All classes are available to anyone. Although the focus is on administrative and leadership topics, all members are integral in the development of a chorus. Details are subject to change as plans develop. Updated 1/2/2024.

Quartet Coaching: If you are a registered quartet planning to compete in March and are interested in participating in the weekend coaching opportunity, please sign up here! Please note: All 4 quartet members must be in attendance for coaching. Coach and times are random and will be assigned for Friday evening/night or Saturday throughout the day. Due to the nature of this type of scheduling, specific requests can not be fulfilled. All coaching slots for Winter Workshop have been claimed!
DCP Testing: In-person Director Certification Program (DCP) testing is being offered from 3pm- 6pm Friday, January 19, 2024 at the Crown Plaza San Antonio IHG Hotel in advance of Winter Workshop. If you are interested in testing, you must schedule an appointment by January 17th with R10 DCP Coordinator Carol Scherer at fumcmusic1941@gmail.com or via phone at 254-541-4659. Sign up has ended.
Meal purchases & Hotel reservations MUST be completed by Wednesday, January 17th at midnight. There will be NO exceptions.
NORTHERN LIGHTS, SOUTHERN CHARM — The tag-team coaching duo of Connie and Lindsay brings with a wealth of experience to the table. From directing, to classes on leadership and administration, chorus and quartet coaching and everything in between.
Connie joined Sweet Adelines in 2000 when she discovered it fulfilled her desire to sing and perform. She has been a member of 4 choruses, including serving as a Certified Director and Choreographer, currently singing and dancing on the front row of the Rich-Tone Chorus. She is also a Sweet Adelines International Quartet medalist. Connie lives in Fort Worth, TX and her daughter, Aleisha, lives in Tyler, TX. Connie works as a Billing Account Manager for a third-party healthcare administrator. She is also a travel advisor specializing in Disney and Universal destinations.
Lindsay’s involvement in barbershop singing began in Montreal, QC in 1994, when she sang lead with a mixed youth quartet. Lindsay is a member of Harmony, Inc., Sweet Adelines International, and the Barbershop Harmony Society. She is a three-time International Quartet Champion in Harmony Inc., a Sweet Adelines International Quartet medalist, a small chorus medalist, and an SAI Rising Star Champion (2002). She has almost 15 years of directing experience and currently directs Southwest Sound, the Fort Worth Chapter of the BHS and a Sweet Adelines Certified Director, where she directs.Note-Ably North Texas. Lindsay moved to TX in 2014 and is currently employed as a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at Mitchell International, an Enlyte company. She lives in Frisco, TX with her husband (whom she met through barbershop), Mark Holdeman.
